Food Grain Godowns repair works in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has Wheat storage Godowns which are located in different districts with a covered storage capacity of 402,950 tones. The NRC Azakhel is the biggest Godown with a capacity of 122,100 tones where reserve stocks are kept for supplies to deferent districts as and when required. Whereas Peshawar Godowns having capacity of 40,100 tones cater for the requirements of District Peshawar & Khyber. D.I.Khan with a capacity of 55,500 tones caters for D.I.Khan, Tank and South Waziristan. Other Godowns cater for the needs of the concerned districts. Some Godowns are constructed several decades ago, got dilapidated day by day which needs repair.

Every year Finance Department allotted fund on current side for the repair of these Godowns. The detail of utilization is as under:-
